My Story

About Me

As a student, I am an outgoing, motivated and committed young individual who has the passion and desire to become a Sports Physiotherapist.

The career pathway I have chosen is going to be a degree-level apprenticeship with Sheffield Hallam University.

Sheffield Hallam University offers me an amazing opportunity to become a physiotherapy degree-level apprentice where I can learn, while I earn.

Goals & Aspirations For The Future

The ultimate goal for the future is to become a fully qualified sports physiotherapy working in a professional sports club, where I am working with the head coaches and athletes.

After gaining experience I would love to work in a successful professional sports club or even work internationally.

What I Have Achieved

Throughout my studies in school, I achieved 4s and 5s in my GCSEs. However, in college on my level 3 sports course, my knowledge shined through and in my first year achieving the grade of Distinction.

While I’m currently completing my second year my next step is to become a degree-level apprentice in physiotherapy.

Personal Life

Outside of work and college, I enjoy playing football with my friends which allows me to develop my skills and knowledge of sports physiotherapy.

I am very interested in travelling what I would love to do later on in life, visiting all the world’s famous landmarks.

A part of this experience would be to visit grand football stadiums as well where I travel and visit.

Work & Past Experience

Since leaving school I worked for 6teen30 Digital, a digital marketing agency where I learnt how a digital marketing agency works. Gaining skills, knowledge and values have helped me become the person I am today.

Being an inbound marketing specialist is a great career if that is what you enjoy but this job lacks the interest of sports for me and the physical activity that is apart of my type of lifestyle.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy has always been an interest of mine throughout school. I was always interested in the biology side of science when discussing the human body.

This was another reason why I took PE as one of my options in GCSE so I could learn more in-depth in sporting situations. This made me realise that I wanted to be a sports physiotherapist.

Outside of physiotherapy I have always taken an interest in the job role especially in the sports sector, I have always been interested in sports particularly football where I played football throughout my whole school experience.

My Story Physiotherapy Image

Inside of physiotherapy, I had the opportunity to volunteer for Chapman’s Physiotherapy where I witnessed the duties and responsibilities of the role. This gave me the confirmation that this is exactly what I would like to do as a career. My volunteer work experience opportunity gave me a wide knowledge of the different types of injuries/illnesses, patients and how the injuries/illnesses occur that can require physiotherapy treatment.
